Outlook 2010 starts up in safe mode

Go to Start menu then go to Control panel.

On the control panel go into Programs, then go to Programs and features.

On the upper left-hand side of the window for programs and features is an option to view installed updates.  Click on that option.

The window will then show you all the installed updates.

Look for the one specifically titled "Outlook 2010 (KB3114409) 32-Bit Edition" and installed on 12/08/15.

Remove it and reboot PC

a new iWhat?

Wow, so BlackBerry has had

NFC on its 9900
Wifi calling since like 2005

but apple claims to invent it?

oh a new 1/7 ghz cpu, funny android did that years ago and the BlackBerry Z30 has it

better selfie camera? lol please, we know what happens to them now

so now the power button is on the side? ask a Samsung Note user about that mistake

1080 screen? ok done already by many but really it don't help unless you have a magnifying glass

they call it 6 Plus but it's 5.5 inches? sounds like a lot of guys here at work

new way to pay? no its not new but after that icloud hack who would trust their money with it

thinner with same battery? why don't you want to use a phone that can last all day long?

No SD card support but for several hundred more you can get 128 gig, other phones can add on 128gig for under a hundred bucks

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are behind the competition in terms of specs, LOL

Apple watch with a BlackBerry track wheel? how high tech is that?
not water proof? LOL but there will be condoms for that or you are wearing it wrong!
cant use it unless you have an iphone? oh yeah that means spending over a grand to wear a watch
are you a leftie? you are using the wrong hand!
don't worry you can still ask siri what time it is since you cant tell analog time anyways

you should wait for BlackBerry Passport, Blend and more coming 9-24-2014

email stuck in outbox in Outlook

I have come across this issue for years in Outlook 2000, 2003, 2007, 2010 when an email can not be sent no matter if you try to hit send receive, reboot, etc. its not too big and email address are ok yet it is stuck in the outbox.

easy fix
Turn off/unplug your network connection and once Outlook is offline (sometimes needs to close outlook and or reboot the PC) then go to your Outlook outbox and delete the item. Connect to your network again. Go to your deleted folder and open up the messages you deleted and resend it.

Apple is going out of business because they said so on the internet

Apple is going out of business because they said so on the internet. Do you want to know what they said?

They said it is a touch ipod yet it requires you to use a button
They said a phone was added to make it an iphone and yet drops calls all the time
They said its boring with the same interface since inception
They said you cant use a standard micro USB cable to charge it
They said you cant use an HDMI cable with out buying an expensive adapter
They said you cant have NFC
They said no to USB host
They said only 1 gig RAM
They said no to silence for years unless you turn it off
They said you are holding it wrong when you have no signal
They said no to easy multi tasking
They said no to adding storage with an SD card, you must buy a new phone and pay off your contract
They said no good working maps, people actually died using them
They said no to Adobe Flash
They said you cant use miracast unless you jailbreak
They said no outside app stores, you are stuck in itunes prison
They said lets innovate by giving you a more expensive charge cable that wont work on older models
They said their latest phone has a fast CPU that's actually slower than a 3 year old phone
They said there is no I in team.

They say BlackBerry is going out of business yet BlackBerry can do all better

No button needed to use it
No dropped calls
New user interface with Hub and more
Can use any Micro USB cable to charge
HDMI port on device
NFC built in
USB host on Z30
2 gig or RAM
Able to truly silence during a meeting
Can hold it anyway you want and still make a call
Easy multi tasking, swipe and tap
Support for 64 gig SD card
BlackBerry maps works
Adobe Flash Support with it super fast browser
Miracast is supported
Support for multiple Adroid app store like Amazon and Snap
My 6 year old 9700 charger works on my new Z30
CPU with 1.5 ghz on a Z10 and Q10 with a 1.7 on Z30

They said I must I go on to prove it, don't you think this is enough?

The BlackBerry Z30 amplifies the BlackBerry 10 experience with:

  • All of the great BlackBerry 10 experiences come to life on a large, 5” display that excels at sharp text, beautiful saturation and deep contrast.
  • Vibrant colors and the incredible detail
  • Z30 uses a super AMOLED display that is able to produce sharper details and fuller than many other OLED displays because of the way the pixels are arranged.
  • Quad core graphics mean web pages are lighting fast.
  • Again look at how pin sharp the black text is on the white background.

Longer battery life
  • Z30 has been designed to keep customers with intense needs moving all day with 25 hours of battery life. Not only have we put in a massive 2880 mAh battery but we’ve been able to achieve better power efficiency by optimizing the UI, processor and antenna. No need for a removable battery!
  • Compared to the BlackBerry Z10, Z30 will offer up to 15 more hours of use.
  • At 2880 mAh the Z30 has the biggest battery that we've ever put in a BlackBerry - this is achievable due to the battery being spread out across the back of the phone.  That is why the battery is sealed.

Better Connectivity: BlackBerry Antennae Technology
  • The BlackBerry Paratek Antenna exclusive to Z30 dynamically tunes itself to its environment to optimize upload and download speeds and ensure fewer dropped calls even in areas with weak coverage, like a basement for example.

Better Sound
  • Z30 also boasts an impressive pair of stereo speakers (2,  1-watt speakers)that immerse you in sound whether you’re watching a video, listening to music or playing a game
    • Play a pre-loaded movie or song and listen to the vibrant sound / watch the large screen

What is different about the Z30 vs. Z10?

  • Better and Bigger Display
    • 37% more screen space
  • Faster and more powerful
    • Quad core graphics make transitions incredibly fluid
  • Better Connectivity
    • Antenna dynamically tunes itself to its environment and delivers stronger connectivity and faster data in weak coverage areas
  • Better Battery Life
    • 90%more battery than iPhone 5, 10% bigger than Galaxy S4

IMCEAEX in an email address?

IMCEAEX-_O=DOMAIN_OU=EXCHANGE+20ADMINISTRATIVE+20GROUP+20+28FYDIBOHF23SPDLT+29_CN=RECIPIENTS_CN=

So I saw this address today when replying to an email after changing a users Primary email address, alias, SPN. User account was being taken over by a new person in this special position.

Odd as it never happened before but after some digging around its because we migrated from Exchange 2003 to 2010 and the user legacy name in AD was using the old mail server address for some odd reason. I will have to figure out why later on.

So I copied the legacy name attribute in AD Users and Computers from a new working user and changed the name on the end to match the special user and now emails can be sent with the new email address.

BES 10 common questions a KnottyRope Tip

Here are some answers to the most common questions ask about BES 10

BES 10 SRP is free and not a temp SRP, you only need to Buy CALs for it at about $60.00 USD per year per user unless you have a large users base to get a volume discount.

You can get BES 5 for free if you are on 4.x. no upgrade cost for going to BES 10.

BES 10.1 will install on your BES 5 SP4 server if you have enough resources for it or you can install it on a diff VM or server. BES 10 is KNOT an upgrade. You'll require BOTH your BES 5 SP4 , and BES10, to support the both old Java and new QNX devices.

BES 10 CALs are linked to your SRP. There are serveral types of CALs

BDS for BB10 and Playbook
UDS For IOS and Addroid
EMM for non Balance corporate whih requres a special data plan as well.

BES 10.1 requires you to trade up your existing BES 10 or Fusion CALs. nt fun but at least its still free to upgrade.

If you had Full BES before you can convert your CALs for free to PERMANANT CALs that wont expire. you have until end of year 2013 to upgrade them. You can start trading up CALs now, Remember this is not for BES Express 5, SBE or free Pro CALs http://blackberry.com/licensetradeup

Installation tips
yes you can use your existing BESAdmin account and it does not require all the permission of the past. It actually uses the users AD credentials.

You will need a Seperate SQL database for BES 10 and you can use the same SQL server for it just name it the default name of BDSMgmt

EAS does not need to be open to internet for BDS, but for now it is needed for UDS until next update comes this summer.

SRP and CAL info when installing can be fun since the naming is differnet in the email and the docs.

Activation tips
Most people forget to make a Email profile and assign it to a new user. So they get actiated but no email. Add email profile in BAS by going to: Blackberry Solution Management, Profiles, Create an email profile with your mail server details.

Cant activate device? Did you try to put in your SRP for server address? if it works after then you can have BES associate your domain to your SRP. Set it at Register activation information with BlackBerry Infrastructure in BAS under Devices, Wireless activations, Device activation settings.
